Sticky Tape is a rock and soul band formed in 1972, consisting of multi-instrumentalist Suki Miguel, vocalist and guitarist Kazumi Aito-Hughes, drummer Elizabeth Hassan and bassist Matfei Fedorovich Dupont.Suki Miguel formed the group The Ferns in April 1972 in Liverpool with Kazumi Aito-Hughes and Matfei Fedorovich Dupont, with Suki as the original singer and Kazumi on guitar. They performed a few gigs in small bars and were shortly joined by Elizabeth Hassan as a drummer. They found little success at first, mainly due to prejudice towards members of the group and rumors revolving around Matfeiās sexuality.Kazumi suggested changing the group's name to Sticky Tape and him becoming the lead singer, which was met with pushback from Suki, but she eventually agreed. After the band's rename and rearrangement, the group began to have an increase in popularity and performed in larger bars and clubs. They performed in The She Club, where they were picked up by their future manager, Kit Stuart.

Elizabeth Hassan Al-Qasim (born November 28, 1952) is a British-Morroccan drummer born in Manchester. She gained fame as the drummer of Sticky Tape.Appearance
Lizzy is a 5'1, ___ lbs, 24 year old female. Her voice is a high pitch, with a Mancunian accent. She typically wears heeled boots / platform shoes, which can add up to five inches on her height. She has dark skin, which changes slightly depending on the season. Her face is a rounded heart shape and her eyes are dark brown. She has three moles, one on the (her) left side of her mouth, one below the right side of her mouth and one underneath her right eye.Her hair is red, shoulder length and styled into a 1960s style long flipped bob. The majority of the time she will wear a headband (which matches her outfit) in her hair. She typically wears natural or nude style makeup, with eyeliner and mascara being the most prominent part of her looks.Personality
People-pleaser, willfully ignorant, hypocritical, (intentionally) ditsy.Lizzy often masks her true personality, portraying herself as ditsy and naive, when in reality she's a very intelligent woman. She genuinely believes she is kindhearted and caring, but often ignores other peoples feelings; if she looks like a nice person, then that's all that truly matters. She frequently gets cast aside and ignored, on the outside she's okay with it and typically goes along with what others say, but in reality she's pissed off. As a way of dealing with her feelings, she tends to break her own belongings and smash things in her home, unintentionally causing injuries to herself (which causes rumors surrounding her mental health and relationships ["MASKING TAPE CAN'T MASK CRAZY" "'Sticky Tape' star Elizabeth seen VIOLENTLY beaten]).

Kazumi Aito-Hughes (born March 1, 1953) is a British singer-songwriter. He gained fame as the main vocalist and guitarist of Sticky Tape. He was born in Blackpool and later moved to Liverpool at six months old.Appearance
Kazumi is a 5'10, 135 lbs, 24 year old male. His voice is a medium pitch, with a Scouse (Liverpudlian) accent. When speaking, Kazumi tends to excessively use the word, "like" throughout his sentences. He wears shoes which add around 2-3 inches to his height, making him 6'0~ when worn. His skin is pale and has freckles which cover his entire body; clustering more around his face and arms. His skin usually becomes darker / more tan during the summer because of the sunlight. His face is an diamond shape and is missing two adult teeth on the right side (not visible). His eyes are olive green and they are slightly upturned and monolidded. His hair is a medium brown and is styled into a medium-length shag with bangs. Kazumi has three prominent scars, one on the back of his head which is covered by his hair and is not visible, a second one which is on the left side of his forehead which can be visible when his bangs are moved and the third being a large line across his left forearm. He has multiple needle scars / track marks across his arms.Personality
Dismissive, (secretly) insecure, egotistical, charismatic, sleazy.Appears as confident, self-assured and sometimes very aggressive, but uses this to deflect from the fact he is extremely insecure about himself. He wants to appear as manly as possible, which results in him being cruel to other people as it makes him feel more in control / masculine. He has rare moments where he can be kind, but he quickly shuts this down because he's afraid of appearing weak or vulnerable. He is typically nicer to Mat than other people, but he will lash out at him at times. He sometimes feels uncomfortable / disgusted that he is attracted to men, which adds to his insecurities. He likes being in control of everything he does and the people around him; this is HIS band and everyone needs to know that.

INTERVIEWER: And how do you feel about your bandmates?
KAZUMI: Donāt like them that much, really. [LAUGHS]
INTERVIEWER: You donāt?
KAZUMI: Theyāre alright most the time. Well, one of them's a proper gobshite.
INTERVIEWER: And who wou ā [CUT OFF]
KAZUMI: [INTERRUPTING] You already know who ā Suki ā the cow. Always starting shit with me. Itās because sheās jealous of me.
INTERVIEWER: Whatās she jealous of?
KAZUMI: Everything. That Iām better than her, that we had to sack her off at the beginning because sheās shite at singing. [CHUCKLES TO SELF] No, sheās alright; I am better than her though, most people wouldnāt really like it if a woman was the centre of it all anyway, would they?
INTERVIEWER: Donāt you think itās sexist to say that?
KAZUMI: Iām not saying that. Like, I havenāt got a problem with women, they can do whatever they like ā like wear your husbandās trousers if you want, love. Get a job⦠fixing cars, Iām not arsed. [LAUGHS] Just the general public ā theyād rather a man, you know that.
INTERVIEWER: There are plenty of women who are very popular though ā Suki herself is very popular ā a lot of people really love her style.
KAZUMI: Yeah, I donāt really care, like. Don't like her, canāt do nowt about that. [MOCKINGLY] And, āher style,ā what style? She looks like every other average tart. Is she paying you or something like?
INTERVIEWER: No. Iāll move on then. Thereās been a lot of promotion for the release of your new album, how do you think the general public is going to receive it?
KAZUMI: Theyāll love it, they better love it. The amount of people Iāve had on my arse because of it ā fuckinā hell ā I canāt do shite without it having to go through 50 other people. Thatās what I miss before all of this fame and whatever, at least I could write without⦠fuckinā... āMr Moneybags,ā breathing down my neck. I canāt do fuck all. All they think about is money, thereās no art in it anymore. Thatās why everything on the radios wank nowadays, musicians are meant to be artists ā theyāre just shovelling money into any old dope and people love it because they canāt think for themselves. I know how to make real music.

Matfei Fedorovich Dupont (born October 14, 1952) is a British-French bassist. He gained fame as the bassist of Sticky Tape. He was born in Marseille to a White-French mother and an Afro-Latino father; Dupont moved to Liverpool at three years old.Appearance
Matfei is a 6'5, 240 lbs, 24 year old male. His voice is a low pitch, with a Scouse (Liverpudlian) accent. He is tanned and becomes darker during the summer or whenever it is affected by the sun (through sunbathing / tanning / etc). He has a couple of very faint and healed self harm scars (not visible). He has a slightly rounded square face shape. He does not have any dental issues; his teeth are perfectly aligned due to him having braces as a teenager and he continues to wear a retainer at night. His eyes are steel blue and almond shaped. His hair is a natural blonde and is styled / layered into a 70s blowout with bangs (see Farrah Fawcett hairstyle). He tends to have more hair on one side of his face and part of his forehead will always show. He will sometimes tie his hair up, leaving two pieces out on each side of his face.Personality
Anxious, insecure, soft, "sissy" (as described by others), naive, whiny, manchildHe is an extremely anxious person, strongly influenced by his rough childhood upbringing. When put in a situation of conflict, he will shut down / zone out.He is often mocked for his personality and interests, referred to as a sissy, pansy, [CENSORED], etc, mostly by other men. He is mainly insecure about how he is considered feminine and his sexuality. Other people frequently comment on this and the juxtaposition of his appearance (tall, broad, muscular) and how he acts, worsening his confidence and anxiety. He typically gets Kazumi to do most things for him, following him around like a puppy, so when Kazumi lashes out at him, he panics and shuts down since he can barely function by himself. He drinks a lot to deal with his issues, it helps him feel less anxious and forget. He's not as innocent / nice as he seems to be though. He takes everything as a personal attack, believes everyone is against him and often guilt trips people. He tends to sulk and whine until he gets his own way, but if you call him out on this manipulation, he'll suddenly turn meek and you'll be hit with "Oh, I didn't mean to," or, "I'm sorry you feel that way," or, "It's not my fault!"He's known to venues and staffers as being difficult to work with, he won't be direct with any issues and ends up being passive aggressive (which he personally wouldn't label as passive aggression, he's just too shy to say anything, okay?). This also extends to his relationships, which agitates Kazumi and Suki a lot.

Suki Miguel (born July 18, 1952) is a British-Angolan singer-songwriter and clothing designer born in Newcastle. She gained fame as the keyboardist, former main vocalist and backing vocalist of Sticky Tape.Appearance
Suki is a 5'4, ___ lbs, 24 year old female. Her voice is a high pitch, with an Essex accent. When speaking, Suki tends to drawl out her words. She typically wears heeled boots / platform shoes, which can add up to five inches on her height. She has very dark skin, which changes slightly depending on the season. Her face is a rounded oval shape and her eyes are dark brown. Her eyebrows are shaved off and she draws them on with a black or very dark brown eyebrow pencil. Her hair is blond with two blue streaks, one in her bangs and one from her hair parting to the end of her hair. Her hair is styled into a 1960s style bouffant.Bold eyeshadow is apart of her image; her makeup often changes and she typically wears a nude lip. The makeup she wears on stage / for publicity is much more extreme in comparison to her daily living, where she usually wears none or natural styled looks. Her makeup and hair streak is usually changed in order to match with her outfit.Personality
Self-assured, anxious, control freak, hardworking, selfless.Suki is a really kind and helpful person, often going out of her way to put others before herself, but is routinely smeared by the media and portrayed as "bitchy" and "controlling." Her true colours are frequently mischaracterised, so when people meet her for the first time they're usually confused that she isn't "a total bitch," and is actually a sweet woman. She wrote and composed a large amount of the songs with Kazumi, but her efforts are often ignored in favour of the man. She is very work-oriented and put the most effort into sucess out of all of her bandmates. She is in frequent pain caused by her endometriosis, but continues to work and perform throughout this. The most obvious display of this was when she vomitted off the side of the stage, but remained playing. This caused further backlash, where she was put on blast, labelled as "disgusting" and rumors were pushed of her being a drug user, despite being the only band member that did not do drugs.

INTERVIEWER: How does it feel dealing with all this sudden popularity? Surely itās very daunting going from your average working class individual to a nationwide sensation just overnight.
SUKI: Itās fine. I mean ā I didnāt think we were that good really.
INTERVIEWER: Well, you were the one who started the group, didnāt you?
SUKI: Yes.
INTERVIEWER: And you were the original singer. Does it make you jealous that Kazumi is the focus of it all? Of something you created?
SUKI: [MILDLY IRRITATED] Why would I be jealous? Itās not like he could do this without the rest of us.
INTERVIEWER: You think he couldnāt be successful without a keyboard player?
SUKI: [NO RESPONSE]
INTERVIEWER: Well?
SUKI: No, I donāt. Youāre already annoying me ā youāre quite rude. And, I thought this interview was meant to be about me; speak to Kaz if you care about him.
INTERVIEWER: [FLUSTERED, HANDS UP] I ā Youāre right, I apologise. [CLEARS THROAT] You had a lot of success with your self-titled album, Sticky Tape. Have you been working on any music ā a successor to that amazing work?
SUKI: Well, weāve had plans, but thereās been some ā [PAUSES] [AIR QUOTES] creative differences.
INTERVIEWER: Creative differences?
SUKI: Yes. People want music they can dance to ā they want pop, they want rock now. Soul is great, but youāre not dancing to it at the club.
INTERVIEWER: Sticky Tape was soul and it's been very successful.
SUKI: I know, but everything changes fast, we want to be ahead of that change before we release. But, ā [LOOKS ANNOYED, PUTS TONGUE IN CHEEK] weāre working on figuring that out right now.
INTERVIEWER: Does Kazumi want another soul album?
SUKI: Iām not talking about him right now. We can end this interview if you'd like.
INTERVIEWER: I apologise, thereās clearly some tension between you two.
SUKI: You can think that.
